Listen, twitter is a dead medium to me, BUT I need some place as a outlet to discuss certain live shows as they happen. It's like crack cocaine to me. I just can't sit and watch.
So, I'm starting this thread in the general discussion area for tonight's Hell In A Cell PPV.
If anyone wants to join in, great. If not, I will literally talk to myself. I don't care.
Here's the card:
-Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin vs The Hype Bros
-New Day vs The Usos
-Randy Orton vs Rusev
-AJ Styles vs Baron Corbin
-Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
-Charlotte Flair vs Natalya
-Jinder Mahal vs Shinsuke Nakamura
-Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens
Predictions?
-Gable & Benjamin win and the Hype Bros split up.
-I wouldn't be shocked if the Usos regained the tag titles. This is literally the Uso penitentiary and with Survivor Series coming up, you can stretch New Day/Usos through Starrcade & The Clash if you need to do it.
-Rusev & Orton have had a good series with a couple of **** sprints. Honestly, I don't think it matters who actually wins. It'll be a good match.
-Remember when AJ Styles was inarguably the best wrestler in the world during the 1st quarter of the year? That was nice. AJ & Corbin have real good chemistry but I have no idea what to expect other than AJ retaining.
-Roode vs Ziggler is like this weird sleeper match that I'll probably be way higher on than everyone else. I think Roode is excellent and Dolph was the 26th best wrestler in the world in 2016. This is probably Dolph's last Smackdown PPV.
-Do you go ahead and pull the trigger on Charlotte Flair now or wait until Starrcade? That's the questions. If Starrcade ends up a Network special, I think you want Charlotte winning the title in the main event of that show. If not, just do it now. ALTHOUGH Charlotte could win here and Carmella could cash in and win as well. Lots of directions.
-Jinder retains somehow. He's doing a media tour of Indie next week and is headlining the India tour in December. I legitimately don't see him losing the title until Wrestlemania. I have no idea how they protect Nakamura here at all and it may not matter. Maybe move Samoa Joe over to Smackdown to give the brand some more depth?
-I thinking Shane's going to carry Owens to KO's best match since the Royal Rumble. There will be some stupid bumps. Shane McMahon will inexplicably be in my top 50 in the WDKW100.
So, funny thing is that I actually think this might end up being a better overall show than No Mercy. I'm not entirely sure anything will hit the peak that was Cena vs Roman but there's also nothing that will assuredly drop this thing off a cliff like Brock vs Braun.
What are your thoughts? Do you care? Am I posting in here alone tonight?
