Like WALTER, enjoying his highest period of success and recognition right now, but even before being a NJ contracted guy, Omega had tons of great matches to his name in PWG and DDT. His ROH run isn't looked back on super fondly but rewatching that work, he delivered most of the time with whoever he was in there with. Great work in main title programs, in tag teams and as a junior. A guy with a deeper resume than it may seem initially.

Will need to check out his pre-NJPW work, but nearly his entire run as both a heavyweight and junior heavyweight is great. Still, with the recognition and praise he's received, he's understandably attracted his fair share of detractors and has become the popular guy to dunk on for numerous reasons (goofy facials, poor fundamentals, iffy leg selling). But I think the plot is lost too often when evaluating him as an overall performer. He's legitimately one of the most impressive offensive wrestlers and bombthrowers in recent memory. He is quite arguably the king of the finishing stretch. He's gotten the most out of plenty lot of subpar opponents. And while he's had his share of mindless performances, at his absolute best his selling and storytelling is phenomenal. And while so many things in wrestling are a matter of personal taste, I can think of few others who would have been able to do what he did with the Okada matches. Three thirty-plus minute matches that are legitimate classics at the most and MOTYC's at the least.
A legitimate top 10 contender as this point in his career.
