We've got WWE volume advocates going to bat for guys like Enzo and Jinder, so it feels like we should at least discuss Ambrose. I haven't been a fan of the the guy in years, but The Bar has been very good as a team so far, with one very good match v. Cesaro/Sheamus, a very good triple threat t.v. match, and a holy shit level classic v. Sheamus and Cesaro at No Mercy which is among the best WWE matches this year. On top of that he had that low key great match with The Miz, and I give him a ton of credit for having that sweet t.v match with Braun last week which helped illustrate how much of a fraud Lensar was. My point is I think you could compellingly argue he has a solid core of high end matches, so you can't dismiss him out of hand if that is your key metric of analysis.

As much as I hate to say it, but he had a low-key great in-ring year. Obviously, tag team matches and multi man matches (Elimination Chamber, Cesaro & Sheamus) do him good to showcase his strengths. That one singles match against AJ Styles in January was pretty good. I loved the match against The Miz at Extreme Rules because of all the callbacks and nearfalls.

Hey, I've got Ambrose at #16 on my ballot right now. Was rather high on him last year (#20) so you'll hear no complaints from me.
The near 8 month long program with Miz provided plenty of good matches. Had an excellent TV match with AJ two nights after the Rumble. Really, that whole SDLive brand was killing it in the ring in the first quarter of the year. Had a good TV match with Elias (although, honestly, who doesn't?).
And of course, the entire series of matches with The Bar have been fantastic.
Absolutely hate it we didn't get that strong match with Corbin at Wrestlemania but what can you do? Plans changed and we got five minutes on the preshow. Not his fault at all.
Strong possibility he ends up even higher for me as you know the reunited Shield are about to have some bangers both on TV and PPV. TLC will probably be insane and you know whatever happens at the Survivor Series will be really fun.

Interesting year for Ambrose. While he had some solid matches on SDL with the occasional clunker (Corbin at Mania), the move to Raw really hurt him. Even if he's never been the greatest singles competitor, only the Extreme Rules match with Miz stands out as anything remotely noteworthy. And just when it looked like Ambrose wasn't going to make the list, he and Rollins become an awesome tag team and knock it out of the park with the Bar. That will probably earn both guys spots in the lower half.

Got him 30s on my list. This tag title run is probably what did it. Can't wait to see Tlc and survivor series to see what he does there. Probably below Roman but ahead of Rollins as of now.

I don't think he's been as good as he was last year when he had the great AJ feud along with underrated PPV matches with Owens, Triple H, and the good Shield triple threat. But he's had some really good TV matches with the likes of Miz, Styles, and a four way with them two plus Corbin. Also had a good one with Cesaro before S'Slam. And him and Rollins have caught fire as a team. He should be in my Top 30 for sure and maybe higher.

He'll make my top 50. Has gone from overrated to underrated and everything in between, but I find it easiest to simply recognize him for what he is: a workhorse. He might have more *** matches per year than almost anyone in the world, and even if he doesn't have high end singles stuff, his matches are rarely terrible and his tag work has been picking up the slack.
