Has announced his intention to retire with his last match being a three way against Curt Stallion and Keith Lee at Alpha 1 in November. He's a talented guy so it's a shame, but talent without passion means fuck all in pro wrestling so it's probably best he's getting out. In any case he's leaving on a year where he's got a strong resume of matches, having looked sharp at the Southern Underground Pro debut show, had some great showings in CWF v. Logan LaRoux, Chip Day, and Trevor Lee, and did some fun stuff in Glory Pro, AIW and elsewhere.

Real shame he's retiring, but I get it. He was definitely held back a bit by the Affleck thing, so it makes sense that he said his heart wasn't really in it. Still, him working Garrini at EVOLVE felt like an assurance that they would both be stars within a few years. Guess instead we will go 1 for 2.

He slipped through my fingers in my 2016 viewing when I had a mind to start watching him and that's an utter shame considering how much I love him in 2017. Was a bright spot in the wasteland of AAW midcards when I was catching up with that promotion. Started strong in CWF Mid-Atlantic with the Chip match and then blew me away with the Trevor match that might just be my favorite Trevor defense yet. As of right now I've only seen maybe 12, 15 of his matches and it's far and away enough for him to make it onto my list. I actually quite like the Affleck gimmick and appreciate that it doesn't permeate his work more than it does currently.
