I've seen a little bit of his PROGRESS stuff and all of his WWE UK/NXT stuff and he's tremendous. Crazy how young he is.
I need some match recommendations for him outside of WWE and PROGRESS.

He's a number 1 contender for me, but I'm admittedly biased as he's a hometown boy. Pete Dunne's getting a lot of credit as the best WWEUK guy, but I don't see much between their WWE work and feel like Bate blows him out of the water everywhere else. In Progress I much prefer Bate's SSS16 and tag team work with Seven over Dunne's year of singles matches. He's great as a babyface, he's great as a heel, he's great in singles, tags and trios. What's not to love.
Insane output of quality matches for a 20 year old.

I think he is underrated as heck. Great matches singles and tag and getting with Liv ain't bad either

Haven't seen his Progress stuff, but his WWE work is probably enough to propel him to at least the top 50. Consistently had the best matches in the UK Tourney, had several fun UK title defenses, and put on a match of the year candidate with Dunne at Takeover: Chicago.

Close friend of mine.
His WWE work is miles better than the PROGRESS work I've seen this year. Definite candidate for the Top 15. May end up higher once I complete by PROGRESS catchup.

Don't know if there's a better wrestler this year (or most years) to be in more bad, bad, bad matches. Most of that's due to the BSS gimmick that is horrible in nearly every way. On a sheer mechanical level, there might not be a wrestler I like more in 2017 than Bate. Outside of one or two weird habits (his odd koppu kick comes to mind), he moves better than anyone else I'm seeing right now and he manages to make the international indie style gripping and exciting when his contemporaries are busy doing dance offs. He'll make it on my list simply by virtue of this mechanical ability but if I like the Chicago Dunne match more on rewatch, that and the Wolfgang match will go a long way for me.
