Surprised there's no thread for this guy. Has been one of the great discoveries of 2017 for me. His Wrestle 1 title matches have been consistently excellent.

Perhaps wrestling's best kept secret in 2017. Match to match he might be the best singles match wrestler in the world this year. The Jiro and Inaba matches are obviously his biggest highlights, but every single championship match he's been in has been very good to great. Like an awesome mix between Cesaro, Fred Yehi, and a young Kurt Angle, Shotaro Ashino is fantastic.

Ashino is in my top 10 and one of the best wrestlers going. The post above pperfectly sums him up. I don't know if there are 5 wrestlers anywhere I wish would change companies more than him to go to somewhere bigger. As W-1's Ace he has been a fantastic ring worker, much like Hideki Suzuki makes all of his matches, no matter how big small or level of opposing talent, he makes the absolute best of it. Tremendous stuff.
