His great singles matches with Hiromu and KUSHIDA normally wouldn't be enough to earn the Funky Weapon a spot, but his involvement in several very good Taguchi Japan vs. LIJ and Funky Future matches will probably be enough to earn a place on the lower end of the list. His comedic tendencies are always a joy in multi-man tags and when he gets serious, he's one of the best junior heavyweights in the division.

I've come around on Taguchi. He's a comedy act, but he knows how to work great sequences and a good match layout alongside it. He's had a couple really strong matches this year and some surprisingly good depth.

I love Taguchi and thought he had a really solid BOSJ. He's equally effective as a goofy comedy guy and a serious contender in the junior division. One of the most underrated guys in New Japan.
