Braun came along at the perfect time, he stands out when a lot of other resumes have holes. This nails it on the head, I think. While I'm wary that everyone's getting caught up on the hype train, Braun has shown nothing other than being the realest of deals in 2017. Back when SES was recording regularly, Dan and I did a podcast almost solely dedicated to how good Braun had gotten after a bad debut. Think that was back in February, so he's had at least seven full months to build from since then, and I could probably point to a match I really liked in each of those months. Can't say that about anyone else in WWE right now.

Made this post in the Roman thread; figured I'd post it here too: Needed a place to point out that I finally watched the Roman/Braun/Last Man Standing match and good lord that might be up there with the Ambulance Match as being my favorite match in the series. The Joe interference didn't even bother me. Honestly, the match came across as the best of their house show brawls taken to the next level as they had all these extra weapons/gimmicks to work with that they normally wouldn't have available in Tulsa/Arlington/Tupelo/Grand Forks/etc. And Michael Cole was incredible on the call here. And remember, other than Fast Lane and the Australian tour, Roman Reigns has otherwise not beaten Braun Strowman when it mattered. A great story being told!
