Another one of those extremely high effort guys who I think deserves way more credit than he gets. While he will sometimes go schtick heavy, he never, ever phones it in. One of the heaviest handed guys in independent wrestling, and also one of wrestling's craziest bumpers. Was putting the sprint on the map before it became the year of the sprint, and even still one of his better matches this year is a sort of slower developing match with Jake Parnell from Zero One USA that I absolutely loved (it's on YT for free, no excuse not to check it out). His match with Anthony Henry from SCI is kind of getting slept on, as I thought it was the best "feels like a fight" match that's even happened on a Scenic City event. I've enjoyed his work in Glory Pro though he's been more of an extra there than a feature player. Really think him and Jake could hit a grand slam on 10/15 and I look forward to it.

Just want to add that his match vs. Jake Something at the 7/9 Glory Pro show was really good, and if you like Jay taking crazy ass bumps you should check this match out.

I accidentally searched "Gary Hoot" when searching for him in the forum. Which pretty much sums up my feelings on him. Every match he has seems like a potential Hoot of the Year Contender. Almost to a fault he will go out and bust his hump every single match taking gnarly bumps and throwing wicked chops. The problem is I haven't seen a more structured and varied match than the formula. The Jake Parnell match wasn't it. That said, if you have an awesome formula then I'm not going to be too upset if you stick to it. Watch his run in Inspire Pro's Lawless Darkness tournament since each one, especially the Andy Dalton match, are super friggin' fun.
