I'm not in love with the idea of starting threads on people this early in the year, but the ball is already rolling so I figure why not.
Anyway, Gresham is a guy who has had a really good start to the year, with three big time mat wrestling outings against Tom Lawlor, Mike Quackenbush, and Martin Stone respectively. All three of those guys are more than capable grapplers, and notably all three of them have different styles, and Gresh really showed the full range of his skills across these matches. The Lawlor match is the best of the bunch and the last visible (that BLP show isn't on Powerbomb yet), but the heel elements of his work added in the other two matches is a nice touch that makes him stand out. I think he could be poised for the biggest year of his career.

From what I've seen from Gresham so far he'll be one of the highest indie guys on my list for sure. All his Independent title matches that I've seen so far have been phenomenal (especially the three-way elimination match with Hot Sauce and Stone), and he made me actually care about and enjoy a Jay Lethal match in 2018.

I wish I could see more of him because when I watch Gresh I just about always love him, but since he's apparently done with ROH I'm not sure where else he works other than Beyond, which usually bores me.

I'd always really enjoyed Gresham's output this year, but never quite got the hype for him at number 1. Always looked like a guy flirting with the top 30 for me.
Then I watched the Ironman match from last week's ROH TV. I get it now. That and the CCK/LAX match from Progress New York have vaulted him right into Top 10 contention. I know a lot of people were on the bandwagon before, and I may be late to the party but holy shit am I ready for his last couple months.

The Progress NY match was amazing and Gresham was no doubt a key part of why it was great. I wasn't blown away by the Ironman match though I think my issues with the match were gimmick based rather than Gresham not being good. He's a lock to make my list, but somewhere in the middle of the second half seems about where he'll land absent either a great last few months or me discovering a lot of great matches that I missed.

I'm currently working my way through the Progress US tour shows and watched that LAX tag match tonight, awesome shit. Along with making it over to wXw tag league, I really hope that these opportunities are going to lead to more European tours for him in 2018.
I wasn't into the ironman match as much as the previous Lethal matches, I think 3 commercial breaks for a 30 minute match is a lot to do with that and disrupting momentum but also felt 'too exhibition' like until Gresham scored the first pin of the match some 22-23 minutes into it. After that point it was incredible and would of been edge of the seat viewing if it was live.

Did Powerbomb.tv put together some Gresham playlist? Is it anything besides his Beyond stuff? Does he work in NOVA Pro regularly and is that available anywhere?
He has a match against Jeremy Wyatt coming up in St. Louis Anarchy in November that I am extremely excited about.

Gresham is a regular in NOVA and has several excellent matches there this year.
