Being hidden from view on the purple view has obscured another solid year for Itami. Had some great/near great stuff with Strong, Tozawa and the three way with Murphy and Ali. I'm looking forward to seeing the NOAH match to see if he's really that much different there or if it's just old school fan wishful thinking. A lower-middle of the pack guy for me with just enough good stuff to get a decent ranking but not enough to make the top half of my list.

I have enjoyed Hideo this year, but I'm not sure I'd even put him in the top half of 205 Live wrestlers. He has some very good matches like the ones you've mentioned, but then there's stuff that just really doesn't connect like the Alexander title match that was a total let down I felt. You'll sometimes get a glimpse of the old KENTA when he roughs up his opponent for a few minutes, but then he'll go back to being one arm Hideo with the weak finish (god I hate they don't let him G2S). On the positive side of things, his next program looks to be against Mustafa Ali which will surely deliver something good. He has an outside chance of making my 100.
Didn't really enjoy the Marufuji match either other than the nostalgia of seeing him in a green ring again. Took ages to get going.
