He's had a similar year to his tag partner with lots of brand hopping and hot tag matches across the three brands. His big singles match (against Ciampa at Takeover) didn't reach the heights that Gargano/Ricochet did, but I still thought it was great. The key for both guys going forward is what their output looks like once the brand hopping stops and they are put on one brand or another. I can't foresee them keeping them a tag team much past Mania week, but they've built up an unexpected chemistry, so it's not unforeseeable that they do get a few more months together before each gets their shot at singles success. I'd bet Black gets more chances just because of his aura and look.

Being on all the brands has really helped Aleister get rolling early on here. The Ricochet tag team has been surprisingly great so far. Both are in the running for my pre mania tag team and singles wrestlers of the year right now
