Nothing pains me more than to write a commentary on a wrestler I know will not wrestle again for the rest of the year (and likely beyond). Ciampa was certainly on the run of his career and will probably be considered amongst the best NXT champions on the male side of the ledger. I'm glad we got the DIY reunion before he went down and believe they could have really elevated the tag division on the main roster if given a chance. Despite the truncated time in ring, he's still amongst my initial top ten, but it would be very unlikely that he ends up anywhere in the top fifty once the year has fully played out. I just hope he comes back or, if it is not to be, that he can take some solace on what he has done during his career.
