So this sure is getting interesting. Any chance this is anyone besides Callihan or Jay White?
Even 2CWSam would admit that Sami isn't a great fit for current NJPW.

Could be Simon Grimm cause he's tight with some New Japan people. But my gut reaction is that Jay White is re-debuting and he's challenging Tanahashi at the Dome. It's a big push but they've done it before with guys like Goto and Okada coming back from excursion.

Jay White I can see, hotshotting him into a dome match against Tana seems a bit premature though.

Yeah, NJPW would never book a young upstart rookie returning at the Dome to do something seemingly premature.

Haven't seen much of Jay White but he seems like a decent talent. Not sure if he's good enough where I'd want to see him pushed against Tanahashi though. As for Callihan, if you kept him in 10 minute NEVER sprints, I'd be stoked as hell. But if he does the 20-30 minute main event style, much less so.

I really like Jay White. I could get behind a push when he gets back to Japan.

Kept my mouth shut cause I knew I would be right when the time came. And I'm not even part of NJPWMecca. *Takes victory lap*.

Power Struggle was a relatively solid show. Yano/Shibata was unfortunately a steaming pile of shit and the undercard was up and down but the top three matches delivered. Was legitimately surprised about Scurll winning the Jr. belt.
World Tag League field announced.
A Block: Juice Robinson & Sami Callihan Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens Yujiro & Hangman Page Suzuki & Iizuka EVIL & SANADA Nagata & Nakanishi TenCozy Goto & YOSHI-HASHI
B Block: War Machine K.E.S.Best Friends Jeff Cobb & Elgin Henare & Makabe Yano & Ishii G.o.D Kitamura & Finlay
So we've got Sami, Cobb and Chuckie T joining the fray for the tournament. There should be some fun matches in here but looking at this all I can think of is how weak that tag division is overall.
Also WK12 so far looks like: Okada v. Naito Tanahashi v. Jay White Kenny v. Jericho Cody v. Ibushi Marty v. Ospreay v. KUSHIDA v. Hiromu Bucks v. RPG3K
That's a fun card on paper so far. Will be interesting to see if Cody will be a better or worse opponent for Ibushi than a blowup doll.

Power Struggle was good. Not thrilled about the Junior Heavyweight Division and the treatment of Hiromu, but the match should be good, right? Also waiting to see if Ibushi is indeed a wrestling wizard and can get an above-average match with Cody.

Thought Juice/Cody was going to be an utter joke this year and it ended up being my favorite match of the show. Ibushi doesn't have the strengths that Juice has that made that match work, but I think he's a stronger wrestler overall so maybe it'll end up ok. In any case, I think it really comes down to Cody.
