We can argue about how good a year he's had, but I don't think there is any way he should be left off of anyone's ballot if they are watching U.S. indie wrestling. The series with Keith Lee really has been excellent, I generally enjoyed him in his role in NEW, he has lots of other good/fun matches sprinkled throughout the year as well. I saw him work real hard to have a passable match with an insane money mark in TN, which gives him extra points with me.

The lack of volume down at the end of the year will hurt him, but he's impossible to deny at this point. Love seeing him in front of new crowds too, because he always commands attention.

When I saw them live his work looked stiffer and tougher than Keith's, and Keith is a top 30 lock, so do the math. Love how he takes bumps, reminding us the bigger they are, the harder they fall is still true in the 300-pound guy moonsault era. Only criticism I can come up with is that he sometimes turns into just another large dude in tags, though I enjoyed him tossing Speedball and ACH around in WXW.

Will need to see more Dijak. Unfortunately I don't think his NEW is a net positive and because of the award winning Highspots Wrestling Network that's often the role I see him in. Good moonsault which is +1. Works bombfests with little consequential selling which is at least -3. His Beyond stuff hasn't been super captivating this year. The WALTER match was really good but also had a weird structure so I'm STILL digesting that. Weirdly wished I could watch his Chaotic stuff. The match against Elia Markopoulos seems up my alley.

He had a brilliant start to the year (at one time he was my #1) but has fallen down my list a little as the year progressed. That just might mean I need to seek out his stuff I haven't seen yet. Even then he'll probably be top 50 for me.

Volume is an issue, but the awesome Keith Lee matches alone will get him a spot. Really good spotfest worker and plays an awesome heel as evidenced by his match with Lucky Kid. Told a great story of him getting too over-confident while bullying his smaller opponent only to get caught. The Trevor Lee match at Battle of Los Angeles was also very good and the Evolve 85 match against Ethan Page was an interesting comedy match.

Not much to add, he looked like he could have been a top 10 worker at one point but fell off later on. Still should slide in the back end of my list.

Huge dropoff for me compared to 2016. He made my top ten in that year and he has no chance of sniffing my top 100 this time around. Most of that comes from the sort of malaise that surrounds the booking and the approach of guys who are destined for sunny central Florida skies, though it's not like I can argue that Dijak took it easy looking at his last couple of matches on the indies. More so than that he just became this uninteresting spotfest worker to me, changing from a charismatic freak athlete supervillain to a guy who hits a lot of the same sorts of moves other big men who can fly do already while occasionally throwing out a catchphrase and a no sell spot. The fact that he had blasé matches with Trevor Lee *and* WALTER stands out to me, as well as the fact that I can't say I really truly enjoyed any Dijak match in 2017, not the way I enjoyed his Beyond standouts of yesteryear. Real heartbreaker.
