Might be my #1, absolute lock for the top 10.
Probably the best big match resume of anyone this decade. Great performances as Ace in his prime, Ace struggling to hang on, passing the torch, and post-prime old guy trying to avoid dealing with the process of aging. Alternating face/heel roles within those, incredibly versatile. One of the only wrestlers to tell stories tackling an entire life cycle, his matches force us as viewers to consider our own mortality and fleeting youth. If you want to get into nuts and bolts, he's the master of a style he invented, and NJPW main events without him in them being less good is no coincidence because nobody can read the blueprint like the man who wrote it.
Nothing but respect for my Ace.

Unless he absolutely falls off a cliff these next few years, has a legitimate shot at number 1. One of the best big match wrestlers of all time and even after years of mounting injuries he still turns in at least a handful of tremendous performances/MOTYC's a year. Excellent babyface and a surprisingly effective heel when the time calls for it.
