In 2017, he had 0 televised matches and pretty much seemed destined for release or Largo loop purgatory. Now? He's consistently putting on awesome matches and is in my top 20. He definitely stands out due to his power on 205 Live and amongst those on the roster, I think he's one of the few who has a legitimate shot at doing ok on the main roster if they ever want him there. His consistency of great matches (Ali, Alexander, the triple threat with Itami and Alexander, tornado tag) is higher than anyone on the brand and he's top ten in all of WWE. Just an amazing comeback story.

Looking like a definite top half guy for me that's hovering around my top third. Only thing that hurts him is that he's only showcased on 205 Live and that doesn't guarantee him the volume of some of the other guys that are hovering in and around the same area as him. That said, his peak performance has come completely out of nowhere and he would finish as a top 5 WWE and the top 205 Live guy if the year were to end today.

If you told me that Buddy Murphy would be fighting for a top 25 spot on my list at the start of the year I would have asked what promotion is he breaking out in. Never in a million years would I have guessed that he not only would be doing this well on a main roster WWE show, but that he'd actually be one of the best 2 wrestlers on it.
