If this post was written in June, my praise for both Bucks would be significantly higher. Not that they've really gotten worse or anything, but their output (or my intake of their stuff) slowed down over the summer. I think after years of reflexively being called the top tag team in the world, they actually earned that title so far this year. The matches with LIJ and Golden Lovers were great in different ways than their matches Roppongi 3K which were also great. Probably my favorite Bucks year since 2012.

I've been critical of the Bucks in the past, but there's no denying the year they've had. The Roppongi 3k matches had excellent psychology and limbwork, the LIJ tag matches were fun spotfests, and the Golden Lovers match might be one of the best tag matches of the 21st century. While their output had tempered off a bit this summer, the All In six-man tag reminded the world that there may be no tag team more exciting than them. Tremendous year and legitimate top 20 contenders.
