Made my last year off the strength of his G1 performance and his only really accolades this year were from a weaker G1 performance. The Elgin and Okada performances were his standouts and he had a few other matches which were ok. I have to imagine, given that I've watched a larger variety of wrestlers, he'll have a much harder time making the list this year.

It's easy to dump on YOSHI-HASHI because of his place on the card but he probably doesn't get enough credit. He fills his role as a lower card guy in New Japan nicely. His match against Ibushi in the New Japan Cup is legitimately great and it wasn't just a carry job. He was honestly one of the more consistent performers in his G1 block. I enjoy maybe three matches involving Togi Makabe per year, and this year Makabe vs. YOSHI-HASHI was one of them. He's usually solid in tag matches.
Is he going to make my top 100? Not likely. I don't think he has the full resume for it. But there's a better argument for him than one might think.
