One of the most reliable "good matches" in all of wrestling indie or otherwise. What he and Parnell have done to build a feud that matters across multiple universes is impressive. Is it overexposed? Maybe, maybe not. But all the matches have been at minimum good and several of them have been absolutely great. Hard hitter and you can pretty much guarantee he's worth your time to watch every time out. Lots of sneaky good matches throughout the year, he's the kind of guy that feels like a bottom half guy until you start looking at his year closer and then you realize he's got a stronger case than that

I've got 5 Gary Jay matches on my list. 4 of them are against Jake Parnell (and all 4 are 4* or higher). Jay is really consistent, though, and always brings a good, hard-hitting match. Very good at nearfalls and selling/comebacks. The Parnell feud has taken on a life of its own, and just when you think you've seen everything they have (twice, even), they go and have an even wilder match like the one at St. Louis Anarchy in July. I had Jay at 25 on my list last year (!!). I think that feels about right for this year, too.
