After a breakout 2017 it really seemed like 2018 would be Kenoh's year. However, dropping the title to Sugiura inevitably hurt his overall output. Still, he brings a great deal of violence and intensity to every match he's in whether it be a sprint, main event, or tag match. The Sugiura series overall was one of the most violent this year and I'd argue Kenoh was the better of the two in those matches. The Kiyomiya match is also arguably the best NOAH match this year and his run in the Global Series has so far been very good. Add in his strong tag work with Sugiura and you have a strong top 50 candidate even if he probably won't finish quite as high this year due to booking.

Only seen the Kioymiya match from earlier this year, so Kenoh is likely not going to be on my list, but on my last check that's still in my top 25 matches of this year. One of the guys along with sekimoto who want me to make more time for Japanese promotions outside of New Japan
