Had a very good G1 in the better block and got some high quality matches with Ishii, Ibushi, Naito and especially Omega. Had one of, if not the, best match of Yujiro's career in March and had a very fun Mania weekend working the Wrestlecon shows. His US title reign was a bit of a dud and was used as a transitional guy between White and Cody. Still in the mid card, albeit the upper part of it, so I don't know how high he'll be on my list, but he's on there.

He's lost a bit of buzz considering how much of a break-out 2017 he had, but I'd argue his 2018 has been just as good if not better. His NJ Cup run was very good with a particularly great match against Tanahashi, his G1 delivered a fair number of bangers, and his title win over Jay White was maybe White's best match this year. Another thing I feel often gets overlooked is his ability to elevate lesser in-ring workers. The aforementioned Yujiro match is definitely one of them but the U.S. title match against Cody was miles better than their WK 11 disaster. A very legitimate top 30 pick.
