One of the guys on the indies that seemingly "gets it." Last year, he barely made my list, squeaking in at 96. This year, he's gone out and had great matches with folks like Kobe Durst, Gary Jay (many times over) and Erick Stevens. His new focus on character has clearly caught the attention of the right people and is clearly poised to be at the top of many indie promotions "want" list. And, naturally, he also RULES ASS!

Wild that the "Littlest Viking" has turned into the heavy metal stud of the independents. I think his biggest detriment is him at times coming off like a late 2000s/early 2010s upper card indie guy where he likes a consistent STYLE and sort of morphs match-to-match. I think this year he has had so many opportunities to put on strong performances that THAT lack of consistency sticks out to me more. When he's in his frenetic, street fight mode, he truly does RULE ASS. Even when he's trying to go hold-for-hold with someone, he's not too bad. As the year has gone on and he embodies this character more and more, he's starting to find that in-ring character consistency which probably better sets up 2020.
Go out of your way to watch his match against Nick Gage and matches against Jeremy Wyatt. I think the second Jeremy Wyatt specifically is one of the best indie matches of the year and though it might make a better case for Wyatt, WARHORSE was more than just along for the ride.
