Simple argument: Thatcher might be the best wrestler in the world, and Ishikawa ate his lunch in their matches together, so... Okay, maybe it's not enough to make him a true number one contender, but any year in which we have five Ishikawa matches that are easily accessible without having to deal with tape traders or torrents or whatever you kids do these days is a good one.
