I don't pretend to have watched his meaningless lower-card six-mans but I assume he was good in them as usual. His case is that every time he gets a singles opportunity, he looks like the best wrestler in Mexico, and the two (2) times he got a single match with actual stakes, he looked liked the best wrestler in the world, particularly since Metallico and Electrico, with due respect, haven't exactly lit up the WDKW100 in previous years. He's a technical master, but the skill I most want him to pass on is how to build drama (a hint to young people: a 2.9 count is not, in itself, drama.)

Virus also had two great singles matches on indie shows - a brawl vs. Demus early in the year and another vs. Fly Star. The career match vs. Metalico is one of the most dramatic matches I have ever seen. So, Virus has had some of the best brawls this year, some of the best technical matches, and probably the 2nd most dramatic match of the year, behind Wagner vs. Demon. If you are weighing quality and versatility in your WOTY consideration, Virus should easily make the top 10, and may even be the best in the world right now.
